Steve Heyman, VMD, Diplomate ACVS

Dr. Heyman is a board-certified veterinary surgeon. He attended the University of Pennsyalvania and received his B.A. degree in 1983, and his V.M.D. degree in 1987. After graduation he did his Internship and Residency at the University of Pennsylvania as well. He became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1993. Dr. Heyman is the owner of Surgical Care Specialists and visits our hospital every Thursday.  He performs complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries for our patients.
 

Dawn Brown, CVT

Dawn is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been working as Dr. Heyman's anesthesiology and surgery tech for the past 10 years.  She received her certification in 2006.  We are pleased to have her as part of our team.
 

Daniel Hecht, VMD, Diplomate ACVECC

We are pleased to have Dr. Hecht, an internal medicine specialist, available for ultrasounds and to provide consultations on our more complex cases.  Dr. Hecht earned his B.S. degree in Animal Science from Penn State, his M.S. degree from Oklahoma State in Reproductive Physiology, and his Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  He completed a Residency program at Tufts University College of Veterinary Medicine and became board-certified in emergency and critical care in 1998.  He lives in Ashby, MA. 
 

Patricia Hogan, DVM, Diplomate ACVR

We are fortunate to have a board-certified veterinary radiologist available to read radiographs and to perform ultrasounds. Dr. Hogan visits our hospital routinely on Mondays and Thursdays to perform these vital functions.
