Dr. Berard earned his bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Connecticut and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He has been an associate veterinarian at Colchester Veterinary Hospital for over 35 years.
Dr. Berard is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association. His professional interests include chemotherapy and heartworm disease.
He lives in Southeastern Connecticut with his wife, Brenda, and their two dogs, Jet and Josie. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Berard enjoys baseball, carpentry, farming, and working with John Deere tractors.
