Dr. Michaela Romie

Veterinarian

Dr. Romie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of Saint Joseph before completing her veterinary education at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interests include gastrointestinal disease, wound management, critical care, and shelter medicine, a field for which she has long held a special passion. In 2022, she further advanced her expertise by earning a Graduate Certificate in Shelter Medicine from University of Florida, enhancing her understanding of population medicine and strengthening her ability to support local rescue animals and shelters.

Dr. Romie lives with her fiancé, Jacob, and their three dogs—Colt, Gator, and Miller—as well as two cats, Ivy and Drake. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, traveling, and spending time at the beach.
